Which One’s Better? Wireless Power Banks Or USB Power Banks

Being a person who travels a lot and forgets their phone charger at home most of the time, I find wireless power banks my daily saviour. I just put the power bank in my bag, with my phone of course, and rushed out the door just in time to catch my metro. No more travelling with the end no. of wires in my bag. Believe me, it’s THE worst!

So I found a better way and bought a Lenovo wireless power bank for my daily needs. My life has been much more organised since then!

How Do Wireless Power Banks Work

As technological advancement has reached a wireless era, travelling with wireless charging tech has never been easier. Wireless chargers and power banks are easier to find and sort through. They charge your phone without an input cord and are embedded with charging coils to produce energy and a battery to store power. It’s more like a wireless charger you can take with you!

Advantages of Wireless Power Bank Charging

These power banks have become very popular due to their no-wire necessary factor. I mean, who likes travelling with a lot of wires? Not me! With wireless technology, you don’t need to worry about finding the wire amongst the endless stuff in your bag and then going through the untangling cables phase anymore.

  • Since there are fewer wires to tangle, you can charge your device wherever you want.
  • You don’t have to worry about tangled lines because it’s wireless, which makes them last longer. The cord from the charging pad isn’t moving around much, so it’s not a big deal.
  • It is safer for you to connect. Since fewer lines are going straight into your phone, electrical problems are much less likely to happen.

Disadvantages of Wireless Power Banks

Limited mobility

The most unpleasant part of these power banks is their mobility restrictions. Your phone must be on top of it or pushed up next to it in your luggage to utilise it, unlike a wired power bank. If your phone loses contact without your knowledge, you’ll learn the hard way.

Wireless charger users know how difficult it is to properly line your phone on it and how frustrating it is to find out charging has been interrupted an hour later. Therefore, you may have to hold the power bank and your phone close to charge.

Never ready when you need it

When needed, wireless or wired power banks are rarely ready. Since few people use them daily, they sit in drawers and bags for weeks. When you need one, it doesn’t have enough charge, and you usually don’t notice it until you’re using the power bank. Or, the power bank could become ineffective if left unused because batteries last less if not charged.

Storage

Portable batteries also have the issue of being bulky, something that’s plagued wireless and wired power banks alike. Having power on the go is nice, but it takes up a lot of room in your pockets or bag.

Fortunately, these disadvantages don’t mean you should pass up on purchasing this power bank. It’s possible to find one that will meet all of your needs without creating any inconvenience.

Wireless power banks let you charge your devices without any lines getting tangled up. But they may not be as portable and may charge more slowly, which are both cons. Wired power banks are still a good choice for people who want speed and freedom. In the end, what you need will determine the best choice. If ease of use is important to you, go online.
